Tendo is young and dynamic agency specialising in government affairs, parliamentary engagement and communications. We work with a roster of clients across transport, health, environment, tech, and social justice and have led award-winning campaigns.

We’re looking to recruit a trainee, where you’ll be given the opportunity to get stuck in with policy work, parliamentary relations and support our team to make a difference across several client accounts.

What does the role involve?

Initially, a three-month traineeship introducing you to the foundations of public affairs and media relations. You’ll be placed across the business to support client teams and be encouraged to take on responsibilities as you build relationships with clients, political and industry stakeholders.

On the day-to-day, responsibilities will range from:

• Research briefings
• Political and media monitoring
• Event support, including events in Parliament
• Administrative support
• Digital and social media administration
• Stakeholder mapping
• Drafting correspondence

Key requirements:

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to distil complex information into simple terms.
• Professional and personable, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong understanding of politics and the media.
• Previous experience working and/or volunteering in politics, campaigning, communications, media, research, or policy is advantageous
