Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role (onsite and remote) for an Office Manager at Labour Together in London.

We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and professionally with a wide range of senior stakeholders; makes sound judgements about people, politics, and communication; is exceptionally good at managing time and executing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; and perhaps most importantly, has a sense of fun!

This Office Manager will provide exceptional and essential support to a busy Director. This includes managing schedules, arranging meetings, organising travel arrangements, maintaining contact lists, and communicating on the Director's behalf. This individual will also assist in the preparation and coordination of documents, meetings, and events.

This role will involve close communication with senior Shadow Cabinet teams, Labour HQ, the Parliamentary Labour Party, as well as government officials, businesses, and civil society organisations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Office Manager, Diary Manager or Senior Executive Assistant.
  • Experience in politics or Parliament welcome but not essential
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within a diverse environment, with a diplomatic and sensitive tone
  • Experience with travel arrangements, event management and minute taking
  • Ability to understand subtle priorities and apply them through a wide range of judgements about time management, prioritisation, and communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong IT skills in general
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
