Universities UK (UUK) is offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy political affairs team to support our political engagement activities.

The post-holder will play a significant role in building relationships with politicians, government, civil servants, think tanks and other key stakeholders to ensure that UUK’s strategic priorities and activities inform influential audiences in the most effective way. The Political Affairs Officer will also play a key role in UUK’s planning and influencing ahead of a general election to ensure that higher education is visible across the political spectrum.

You will ideally have previous experience of working in Westminster or Whitehall, be proactive in identifying opportunities and monitoring key political developments and can communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders. This post would suit someone who can manage a diverse range of tasks, independently and within a team, with excellent written and oral communication skills.

The post is offered as a permanent, full time position with a hybrid working model.
