Job Details

The University of Lincoln is seeking a dynamic individual with a keen interest in the policy environment to support the work of the Lincoln Policy Hub, to enhance the research culture and facilitate impactful research. Working across a diverse field including agri-tech, rural and coastal health, social and public policy, robotics, arts and heritage, this is an exciting new opportunity for a well organised team worker who enjoys working with academics and policymakers in a wide range of policy-focused research topics.

The Lincoln Policy Hub was established in 2022 to support and develop policy engagement activities at the University of Lincoln, and has 3 core objectives to: enhance knowledge of the policy environment and develop skills for researchers to engage with and influence practitioners and policymakers; establish a coordinated approach to public policy-focused activities across the University; promote and support policy engagement activity to external stakeholders.

You will be a confident and able communicator keen to assist in generating influential research at international, national, local, and regional level. An understanding of the policy environment and the Higher Education sector would be an advantage, and great networking and collaborative skills are essential. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent administrative, digital, and budget management skills to support the aims and objectives of the Policy Hub. You will be involved in a range of duties including event management, web content, training, and regional engagement. There will be occasional travel opportunities and we can offer flexible working arrangements.

The University of Lincoln offers exciting career opportunities with the chance to grow and develop to reach your full potential. We also offer a wide range of staff benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year pro rata (plus an additional 14 bank holiday and concessionary days), a hybrid work environment, progressive pay rates, access to discounts at popular stores, gym, and sports facility membership and more.

For an informal discussion about the post contact Director of the Lincoln Policy Hub, Dr Mark Bennister mbennister@lincoln.ac.uk.
