Job Details

Mark Eastwood MP is seeking a well organised and highly motivated individual for the role of Part Time Communications Advisor, to be based in the constituency office.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Produce online graphics and video content for social media platforms
• Manage Mark’s website and content, ensuring it is up to date
• Manage and monitor all social media platforms
• Design and develop engaging and targeted content and messages across a wide range of channels
• Produce press releases, liaise with the media, meeting deadlines as appropriate
The ideal candidate will be a team-player and have a determination to help Mark deliver on his priorities for his constituents.
You will need to have previous experience in a communications role or similar and can demonstrate competence in both writing and preparing content for social media, including graphics and videos.
You should also have a knowledge and understanding of the issues in both the Dewsbury constituency and the wider West Yorkshire region.
Candidates should be sympathetic to the values and aims of the Conservative Party.
There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of the normal working hours and travel for work.
