Programmes Executive (part time)

RESTART Lives is a small London homelessness charity supporting homeless people to break the cycle of homelessness.

The Programmes Executive will undertake to make our programmes happen be that taking on research tasks from the CEO or Programmes Manager to find the best new sports coach, or therapist or other expert to lead sessions, to secure great venues, or to manage seamless logistics of things like resource delivery, or flyer printing. This role will involve going along to sessions on each programme to build rapport with guests and feed back how it seems each programme is running and suggesting improvements or changes for managers to consider. It will involve liaising with partners who are supporting us to run particular programmes, or reporting back to partners on how the programmes they are supporting are going. There will be some executing of comms strategy, and a basic knowledge of social media and interest to learn more is essential.
This role is for 3 days per week, which must include occasional Fridays 6.30-8.30pm working at our drop in.

RESTART LIVES has an office in Shoreditch, London E1 and delivers projects at St. Columba’s Church, Knightsbridge, and with partners across London.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
Minimum of one year professional experience in any relevant operations, administration or operations role preferred, but we will consider candidates without this who demonstrate strong skills
Knowledge
Knowledge of issues surrounding homelessness and / or employment of vulnerable adults
A good understanding of the implications of working with current and former homeless people or with vulnerable adults more generally
A good understanding of what it takes to deliver projects on time and within budget
A good understanding and experience of charitable operations
Skills
A person / service /customer centred approach
Strong communications skills across all media, conferences, meetings and one to ones
Outstanding time management and prioritisation skills
Excel and MS Word proficient
Knowledge of social media
