The Productivity Institute is a nation- wide research institute in the United Kingdom, headquartered at Alliance Manchester Business School and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), focusing on improving productivity and living standards across the UK economy. We are doing this through frontier research and strong regional engagement with business and policy stakeholders across the UK.

The Practitioner and Policymaker Relationship Manager: will act as a link between the Institute’s research and its key target audiences and stakeholders, promoting the Institute’s insights to this target audience with the purpose of impact. Whilst they will be based in Manchester, this role will be primarily focused on the Institute’s Regional Productivity Forum members across the UK (8 in total) and select UK based strategic partners. The Practitioner and Policymaker Relationship Manager will interface between the Institute’s academics and these key audiences to identify and manage opportunities to target engagement and communication so that research insights are disseminated to the right people and used by practitioners and policymakers. The role holder will also be responsible for collecting evidence to demonstrate impact. The Practitioner and Policymaker Relationship Manager will report into the Engagement and Impact Director and will work closely with colleagues at the Institute’s headquarters in Manchester and across partner institutions and Chairs and members of the Regional Productivity Forums. 

The Engagement and Impact Coordinator will provide administrative duties and project management support to the Engagement and Impact Director, facilitating the smooth running of the Regional Productivity Forums, Business Innovation Funded activity and Communications, Engagement and Impact activities of the Institute. Provide efficient administrative support to the Engagement and Impact Director in the effective co-ordination, administration and management of Regional Productivity Forum, Business Innovation project and Communication, Engagement and Impact related activities of the institute.
