Alistair Strathern MP is looking for an enthusiastic Constituency Assistant to join his boundary breaking team following a historic Mid Bedfordshire by election victory.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping Alistair make a difference to the lives of constituents across Mid Bedfordshire, and take the lead in helping to deliver some of his priority campaigns in Mid Beds and Westminster.

The successful candidate will also provide support with external communications, social media, events and visits, managing Alistair’s website, drafting parliamentary communications and managing responses to constituents policy enquires.

We are looking for someone with an excellent grasp of written English who is experienced in using Microsoft Office software. They must also be proactive, organised, reliable and have sympathy with the aims and values of the Labour Party.

Experience of some of the following would also be helpful:

• office work
• social media
• website management
• graphic design
• organising events
• community work

There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of the normal working hours and travel for work occasionally. We are open to considering applications for part-time and/or flexible work. A full driving license would also be helpful.
