About Shout Out UK

Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a multi-award winning creative social enterprise on a mission to defend and amplify democracy by ensuring all citizens understand how their government functions through political literacy, are inoculated from disinformation and misinformation through media literacy and are given a chance to have a say in how their country is run through our own youth voice platform and various programmes.

The Role

You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to facilitate our educational programmes focused on Political and Media Literacy. Delivery settings and audiences can vary from students at a PRU to teacher focused CPD.

The applicant needs to be confident, punctual and passionate about political and media literacy.

This is a freelance position. We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis.

Location: UK Wide

Fee:

£15 – £200 per hour, depending on setting and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a wide variety of programmes across a diverse range of settings and cohorts.
  • Collect social impact data during and post-delivery.
  • Take action photographs of your delivery or post your delivery depending on what is possible.
  • Travel nationally and/or internationally to deliver.


Requirements:

  • Experience in delivering to young people and adults.
  • Confidence.
  • Good speaking skills.
  • An understanding of and interest in one or more of the following: Media Literacy, Counter-Extremism (PCVE / REMVE), Political Literacy, Democratic Engagement
  • Publicly impartial
