The CPA connects, develops, promotes and supports Parliamentarians and their staff to identify benchmarks of good governance and the implementation of the enduring values of the Commonwealth.The purpose of the role is to deliver Communications objectives and projects for the CPA.

  • Under the direction of the Editor and Communications Manager, the Communications Officer will support the CPA Headquarters Secretariat in the planning and delivery of key Communications tasks in line with the Communications Plan and overall CPA strategic objectives.
  • The role holder will provide Communications support in key areas including producing content for the website, social media and email campaigns, writing news stories and other written content, updating CPA communications channels, and assisting with other CPA outreach and promotional activities.
  • The role will also include a variety of administrative, coordination and logistical tasks in support of Communications colleagues, the Strategy and Engagement Team and wider CPA Secretariat as required, including Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and reporting to senior managers on key communications achievements.

It is essential that the role-holder have at least 2 years relevant experience in an area such as communications, marketing, politics or international relations. It is desirable that the applicant is able to demonstrate experience of delivering Communications outputs.
