An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a Campaigns Manager to shape and deliver our campaigns.
The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people.
As we approach the general election, The NHF is looking for an experienced professional to play a central role in our campaigning work. You will have responsibility for shaping our campaign for a long term plan for housing, mobilising the sector and the public, and looking ahead to ensure that our members and their residents needs are understood and addressed by a new Government.
You will be part of a creative and talented team who are committed to ensuring everyone has access to a decent, affordable home. Sitting within the External Affairs Team, you will work closely with the Media and Public Affairs Managers and play a key role in the cross-disciplinary campaign group.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of influencing social policy on a key issue at a critical time of change in British politics, and for an organisation with clout at the highest levels.
Key elements of the role:
• Leading on co-creating and delivering campaigns and influencing projects, including strategy, generating and delivering creative campaign ideas and creating materials to mobilise our members in the run up to the general election;
• Leading cross organisational project teams to deliver on campaigning and influencing goals;
• Identifying, building relationships and working with key stakeholders to involve them in our work to greatest effect;
• Developing and delivering fundraising strategies for key campaigning and influencing projects;
• Commissioning work from external agencies and contractors and managing programme budgets;
• Analysing risk and taking a long-term view to bringing about change;
• Measuring and evaluating project performance, providing recommendations for improvements and changes.
