We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help us get more renewable energy infrastructure built. Due to a significant amount of recent success in the renewable energy sector, we have a vacancy for an Account Executive to help us make a difference.

This position would suit a recent graduate or with a year or two experience with an interest in the climate crisis, renewable energy and politics at a local level (knowledge of the planning sector a benefit, but we can teach you that).

What you’d be doing:

• Researching local and national politics (i.e. producing stakeholder analysis documents)
• Helping to organise, publicise and staff public events (you may need to travel around the UK a bit)
• Producing draft letters, newsletters and exhibition boards
• Managing databases (i.e. collating local resident feedback, tracking political activity)
• Media monitoring and liaising with the press when necessary
• Writing clear, concise, compelling and engaging copy about new environmental projects
• Some admin (booking venues and putting meetings in the diary)
• Be a point of contact for external stakeholders regarding our clients’ projects
• Helping the agency to win more work

What we need:

• Someone who can manage their own workload, take responsibility, and get things done in a small agency environment
• An interest in politics, current affairs, local government, planning, renewable energy
• You need to be able to write well and explain complicated things in a simple way
• It goes without saying that you’ll be able to use MS Word, PPT, Excel – but it would be even better if you could also build simple websites or use photoshop too.
