Role and Responsibilities
We're seeking a Community and Events Executive to join our Public Affairs team. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating a range of events, marketing initiatives, and partnership programs for various clients.
Ideal candidates will have some experience, and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. You will primarily support the Public Affairs team, aiding various trade associations and industry groups in boosting their presence. Essential elements of this role will include building relationships within these communities, fostering partnerships, and actively contributing to team projects. These organisations include ISPA, the broadband association that represents 150 companies, including BT, VirginMedia O2, TalkTalk, Sky and many more; and Insuretech UK, an association for insuretechs that includes start ups and established industry names.
You'll play a pivotal role in:
- Planning and coordinating events such as conferences, roundtables, and receptions
- Managing event logistics, such as invitations, registrations, and audiovisual support
- Marketing industry associations across different channels
- Assisting with internal member communications and outreach efforts
- Cultivating connections within the communities to facilitate partnership opportunities and strengthen member engagement
- Developing expertise in the sectors we operate in
- Participating in company planning sessions and proposing strategies to better support our communities
Additionally, there may be opportunities to support Clarity's internal marketing and events initiatives.
Our specialties lie in communications, technology, and health. Thus, having experience or a strong interest in these fields can give you an edge.
Experience and Skills
You will ideally have some of the following:
- 1year+ experience working in events, marketing and/or an administrative/project management role that supports client delivery
- Competence in using social media tools
- Experience with WordPress and website management is a plus
- Familiarity with Canva and Mailchimp is preferred
- Enjoys networking and face-to-face client engagement
- Interest in policy related to communications, tech, and health is beneficial but not required
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and a can-do attitude
