Global Government Forum is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Head of Research and Analysis. Reporting to the Global Research Director, this role will lead our research and thought leadership initiatives, develop and implement go-to-market strategies, and produce research reports. The role supports internal strategic planning and market engagement with in-depth market analysis. Our research includes online surveys fielded to over 320,000 public servants, depth interviews with top government leaders (such as Heads of Civil Service, Permanent Secretaries, CIOs, CDOs, and CTOs), and desk research papers such as our Women Leaders Index.  

We seek a candidate to develop our research and analysis function in line with our strategic growth plan. The ideal candidate is willing to be hands-on, and eager to develop a focused research and analysis product within a dynamic, growing global business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Research strategy and implementation: Carry out the research and analysis function, aligning projects with our strategic and commercial objectives.
  • Survey and data analysis: Oversee questionnaire design, survey data analysis, and research report production, delivering actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Present research findings to clients and internal stakeholders, advising on the effective use of research for strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-functional support: Provide research and analysis support across functions, integrating research into the organisation’s strategic initiatives.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in a related field.
  • Experience in research management, preferably with 5+ years in a relevant sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in survey design and data analysis.
  • Excellent project management abilities, capable of leading multiple research initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, translating complex research findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in (or aptitude for learning) statistical software and tools for analysing large datasets.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for work purposes.

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience with digital data collection and analysis tools.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector or a related industry.
