Following rapid business growth, NorthPoint Strategy is looking for an experienced Consultant to join our expanding team. We are looking for someone who has extensive public affairs experience, with strong political and parliamentary knowledge.
NorthPoint Strategy is a strategic communications firm specialising in public affairs, communications, government relations and business advisory. We focus on industries that are highly regulated, rapidly changing and disruptive, encompassing a wide range of sectors from emerging technologies to energy.
As a Consultant at NorthPoint Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic campaigns, providing expert counsel to clients, and shaping public policy. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients.
The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK before the commencement of employment.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Affairs Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a proactive problem solver. As a Public Affairs Consultant, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing and executing PA strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results for a range of diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client relationship management, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and accounts.
• Strategy development and execution, developing comprehensive PA and communications strategies tailored to our client needs.
• Write and edit press releases, media kits, speeches, op-eds and other PR materials.
• Develop crisis communication plans and provide strategic counsel during emergencies.
• Contribute to business growth by identifying new opportunities, crafting proposals and presentations, and actively participating in pitches.
What we are looking for:
• We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of relevant experience at consultant level, with a strong political network.
• Ideally, this experience includes work in an agency or a communications role, potentially combined with time spent in Parliament, in-house, or within local, regional, or national government.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who is not shy to get stuck in.
