Come and join our team! Imogen Walker, Member of Parliament for Hamilton and Clyde Valley, is looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to join her new office in Hamilton as a full time caseworker (37.5 hours per week).

This is a chance to work in an exciting and varied role where you can make a real difference. Imogen was elected in July as the Labour MP for Hamilton and Clyde Valley, and will be focussed on providing support to residents who need her help. You will be a key part of her team, based in a central location in the constituency. You will have the option of hybrid working between your home and the office, with full support and resources provided for home working and a requirement to be able to attend the constituency office. Some flexibility will be required on the occasional evening or weekend, with time off in lieu.

Responsibilities will include:

• Dealing with a large number of standard queries by telephone, email or face-to-face.
• Managing and progressing a varied portfolio of casework, log all cases; monitor progress and ensure all identified actions are taken.
• Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases.
• Draft responses to constituents and letters to government agencies on behalf of constituents.
• Competent use of IT including casework management systems, Microsoft Office package, email, internet.
• Accompanying the MP to advice surgeries and visits in the constituency.

Imogen is looking for someone who has:

• Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills. Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, including Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint/One Drive.
• Experience of keeping professional notes and accurate records.
• Ability to carry out tasks quickly and to a high standard.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative and work well as part of a wider team, demonstrating a positive and flexible attitude.
