Job Details
We are looking for a constituency caseworker for our busy office based at Chadderton Town Hall in the constituency of Oldham West, Chadderton & Royton. The job is full time but part-time hours may be considered.
The Role responsibilities
- Assist with surgeries and other meetings
- Deal with large numbers of enquiries by phone, email, social media and face to face
- Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases
- Log all cases and monitor progress, ensuring all identified actions are taken
- Draft responses to constituents
- Critically analyse patterns of enquiries and articulate findings in reports and communication with the MP
- Ensure records are kept and all information is managed confidentially in line with the GDPR
- Manage and monitor social media enquiries
- Ensure each case is dealt with promptly and accurately
- A working knowledge of IT, including Microsoft packages, word, outlook, excel and powerpoint is essential. Experience of MP Casework will be an advantage but training can be available.
- Flexibility is essential as some evening and weekend work will be required
- A driving licence will be essential.
Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
