Job Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Mayor’s Office at the GLA to work as a senior adviser to the Mayor on strategic communications and speechwriting.
We are looking for someone with experience advising senior politicians and a proven track record of researching and developing a diverse range of speeches, editorials, articles, briefings, statements and other written communications within a complex political environment. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the political landscape in London and the issues facing a major world city, an understanding of the media and experience of using different communication approaches to promote strategic policies and priorities.
The successful candidate will join the Mayor’s communications team, report to the Head of Strategic Communications, work with the Director of Communications, and will play a key role in helping to communicate effectively the priorities and objectives of the Mayor, the GLA and its functional bodies (such as Transport for London and London Fire Brigade) as we deliver policies that improve the lives of all Londoners.
