Job Title: CLP Organiser

Working For: Putney Constituency Labour Party

Location: London

Salary: £20,756 (3 days per week)

Job Details

This opening comes at a uniquely exciting time, following the historic election result in May 2022 where Labour took control of Wandsworth Borough Council for the first time in 44 years. The successful candidate will have a chance to work with our sitting MP, Fleur Anderson, our 8 councillors in Putney and the CLP campaign teams to get our message out to Putney residents, helping build support for Labour ahead of the next local 2026 Council elections and retaining Wandsworth council for a second term.

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable candidate able to make a real commitment to the success of this position and the success of Labour campaigns in Putney.

Specific responsibilities

· Work with the MP, AM, Council Leader, Councillors, Borough Organiser and CLP campaign teams to develop and implement the Council Election campaign strategy and action plan for Putney, including developing and maintaining a key diary of campaign events.

· Support the CLP and councillors to build membership and campaigning structures across Putney and in specific wards.

· Developing key print and social media materials for campaigns.

· Ensure key stakeholders are kept regularly informed about the campaign and key dates and activities and set up a programme of regular canvassing.

· Analyse Labour Party and other data sources to help target and monitor the campaign.

· Provide training for members on campaigning activities.

· Develop fundraising schemes along side the fundraising committee to ensure the CLP has adequate funding to organise, campaign and contest elections.

· Build relationships with local stakeholders and organisations and help seize opportunities to promote the MP, the Mayor, the Assembly member, Council leader and the councillors key messages.

· Ensure the office is well-stocked and manage any administrative tasks.

· Responsible for the CLP’s social media accounts.

· Attend and help with General Committees (GC) and Executive Committees (EC) meetings as required.
