Job Title: Kingston Campaign Manager

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum

Job Details

• Lead the volunteer recruitment and capacity building/retainment processes in Kingston and Surbiton and across Kingston Borough to ensure we have a motivated and well-trained volunteer network of deliverers, canvassers and clerical helpers
• Contribute to the literature schedule planning and provide key input to copy editing, design, proofing and approval, and print and distribution of regular artworked leaflets, direct mail letters and emails to members, supporters and voters.
• Campaign budgeting and financial management in liaison with the Treasurer/ Election Agents.
• Work closely with our MPs and their offices, councillors, campaign staff and volunteers to help deliver winning election campaigns in Kingston.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
You’ll be a confident person, with strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. You’ll beat ease with the latest online and offline campaign techniques.

Ideally, you will have been part of multiple successful election campaigns and have a strong understanding of what it takes to win.
You will be able to demonstrate a record of election, fundraising and capacity-building success, with an instinctive sense of what makes an effective political message.

You will have sound political judgement and an in-depth understanding of voters. You will be well organised and able to work without supervision in a challenging environment.

A good temperament that allows you to deal with the unexpected is a must. You must also show a willingness to innovate, experiment, and share best practice.This role will suit someone who enjoys variety in their work and working with volunteers from a wide variety of different backgrounds.
