Job Details

An opportunity has arisen to join Rupa Huq’s team as an Administrator/ Senior Administrator/ Office Manager/ Chief of Staff to join her team. The specific job title for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will help run the MP’s busy but small parliamentary and constituency offices, providing high quality, efficient and effective support. Excellent organisation, administration and communication experience is essential. This role would suit an all-rounder. 

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Providing administrative support: general office tasks including IPSA, register of interests etc
• Assisting with arrangements for events
• Diary management
• Video editing
• Design skills
• Managing the Member’s website content
• Newsletters
• Researching and preparing press releases and media briefings
• Horizon scanning 
• Producing ideas for campaigns
• Assisting the team with the day to day running of the office including with policy responses and casework as and when required.

Person specification:
• Proven ability to manage a diverse workload under pressure and handle complex, sensitive cases effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with strong IT skills.
• Self motivated, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Alignment with the Labour Party’s aims and values.

This is a full-time permanent role, please do not apply if you are currently in education.
