Job Details
Rt Hon Liam Byrne MP is seeking a part-time parliamentary research assistant to undertake background research work into the rise of populism and the relationship with inequality, in order to support his campaign work in parliament. The work will feed into a wider primary research programme.
The work will initially centre on literature reviews but will also have the chance to input into parliamentary and public-facing work, which in turn will help inform Liam’s work in the Chamber and parliamentary debates.
The role will include assisting with a short review of relevant literature, undertaking analysis of fieldwork from market research partners, with the potential to commission further inputs from the House of Commons Library. As such, experience of analysing survey experiments and presenting data visualisations plus familiarity with the inequality policy debate would be a distinct advantage.
Skills Required
- Proven research skills.
- Ability to dedicate time to this project in the next 10 weeks.
