Maya Ellis MP, Labour MP for Ribble Valley in Lancashire, is looking for a Constituency Manager to be based in the Ribble Valley constituency on a full-time, hybrid, working basis.

Reporting to: Maya Ellis MP
Key responsibilities:
• Lead and maintain a highly professional administrative support function for the MP’s office.
• Line management of constituency staff including quality supervision and close monitoring of casework and correspondence
• Horizon-scanning, anticipate what advice or action may be required; proactively identify opportunities and problems and action them
• Liaise with groups/personnel and the general public on the MP’s behalf as necessary
• Management of the MP’s constituency diary in liaison with her and to ensure maximum impact in the constituency and on priority issues
• Responsible for managing all aspects of the budget, keeping the MP informed of all relevant financial matters and liaising with IPSA
• There will at times be requirements for the role holder to work beyond normal working hours, including attending events with the MP as required
Key skills and experience (What we’re looking for in you)
• Strong time management, and demonstrable experience of managing competing priorities in a busy office
• Good people management skills, thrives leading teams in a fast-paced environment
• An understanding of the geography and people of Ribble Valley
• Good IT & organisational skills
• Able to manage own time and deliver work independently
• Demonstrable values in line with the Labour party
