Job Details

Harpreet Uppal MP is recruiting for a stakeholder and community coordinator. It is a full-time role based at the constituency office in Huddersfield. The role will predominantly involve engaging and building relationships with community organisations, local groups, and businesses and arranging meetings, surgeries, and events. This job is full-time with the option for flexible working
Responsibilities will include:
Developing strategies for community engagement, using data analysis, research and stakeholder mapping to identify key issues and themes
Building and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders, businesses, and organisations
Helping to plan and arrange constituency visits and events.
Support communication to stakeholders including writing newsletters
Administrative duties as needed
Plan and manage MP constituency diary
Skills criteria
• Excellent time management
• Strong political judgement and an ability to spot trends as they emerge
• Proven attention to detail
• Good knowledge of office based IT systems
• Able to work individually and as part of a team
• Ability to learn new systems
• Knowledge of using a variety of social media platforms
• Share the aims and values of the Labour Party.
• Professional written and spoken communicaton style
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workstreams
