We are seeking an experienced and motivated Research and Analytics Manager to support and execute our polling operations. This role will be responsible for designing, executing, and analysing public opinion surveys that inform our research initiatives and policy recommendations. The role reports into the Director of Research.

This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in public opinion research to support work presented to senior politicians and advisors within different government departments and within the Prime Minister’s team at No 10. You’ll collaborate with top political scientists, and thought leaders from other think tanks and policy organisations. The position also provides the chance to develop innovative techniques and help Labour Together stay at the cutting edge of understanding public opinion.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of polling and survey projects, including sampling strategies, questionnaire design, data collection, and analysis.
  • Design and implement innovative polling methodologies to ensure high-quality, reliable, and timely data.
  • Analyse polling results, identify trends, and provide written insights to support policy development.
  • Collaborate with our research and policy teams to integrate polling data into broader reports, publications, and public communications.
  • Maintain and build relationships with external polling organisations, Labour HQ, and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in polling methods, public opinion trends, and data analysis tools.
  • Skills required
  • Strong capability in designing questionnaire and survey, including complex survey experiments such as conjoints
  • Weighting and processing polling data
  • Data modelling and analysis using R
  • Writing up survey results and the results from experiments
  • Project Management skills
  • Acquiring and managing relationships with sample suppliers

Desired skills

  • Managing POs and invoicing
  • Experience of using the Qualtrics platform to create and run surveys
  • Data visualisation
