Job Details

We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant to support colleagues with the day-to-day smooth running of Keir Starmer MP’s busy Holborn & St Pancras Constituency Office.

Responsibilities include
• Triage and processing incoming office correspondence.
• Supporting timely processing of routine correspondence and enquires.
• Arranging Constituents’ visits to Parliament.
• Liaising with Parliamentary colleagues.
• Supporting exceptional office data and file management, to maximise team effectiveness and efficiency.

The successful candidate will be
• Experienced with Microsoft 365. Particularly Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel.
• Comfortable working in a high-profile, busy office.
• A clear and quick thinker, who will confidently prioritise, action and complete their responsibilities.
• Able to handle confidential and sensitive matters with absolute care, integrity and discretion.
• Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Labour Party.

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
