THE POLICY ANALYST ROLE

Stonehaven tackles some of the biggest and thorniest intellectual issues in the public sphere. We are looking for a talented and driven policy analyst with an interest in current affairs, creating societal change, and supporting business to overcome strategic challenges.

You will develop novel policy propositions intended to change the debate in the UK on topics ranging from energy, climate change, transport, defence, health and our fiscal regime. You will work with the broader Stonehaven team to turn these propositions into reality.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Developing new policy ideas for clients and building them up to an appropriate level of detail.
• Interpreting Government policy for clients and providing briefings. Developing and maintaining expertise in a key area of public policy, providing insight for the wider organisation.
• Supporting the wider policy team in delivering for clients.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Experience of consultancy or policy work is preferred, but not essential
• Evidence of significant expertise in any area of public policy, either through work experience or academia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of effectively managing their own time across multiple projects and priorities.
