The Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood (CC) are responsible for managing Honours awarded by The King, as well as organising award ceremonies that recognise individuals for their achievements, success and impact on society, here in the U.K and throughout the world. As an Honours and Investiture Assistant, you’ll handle the administration behind these Honours and Investitures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Senior Honours and Investitures Clerk to liaise with government bodies to coordinate the publication of the Honours Lists in The London Gazette bi-annually and assist in preparing entries for the Honours Lists.
- Help organise Public Investitures, including the allocation of recipients and managing invitations, ticket applications, and associated inquiries for UK and overseas recipients.
- Produce The King’s Notes and assist in the creation of briefing materials in consultation with the CC Secretary.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of Souvenir Programmes, Insignia, and other logistics for Investiture events.
- Ensure all event details, including programmes, notes, insignia requirements, and ticket lists, are provided to Palace staff, press, and security personnel.
- Maintain historical records of Investiture programmes and other supporting materials and assist in the smooth running of ceremonies, including liaising with the Secretary on any changes.
- Assist with the despatch of Insignia and Warrants of Appointment.

Essential criteria:

- You will have excellent administration and coordination skills, and experience working in events administration would be beneficial.
- You’ll have a varied workload, but with exceptional attention to detail, you’ll be able to consistently achieve high standards.
- With your well-organised yet flexible approach, you're used to prioritising your time effectively, making you an asset to our busy team.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will confidently engage with people at all levels, including senior members of government, the Armed Forces, and the public.
- You will be able to demonstrate a high standard of written communication and be confident in using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- A keen interest in the honours system and ceremonial aspects of the Monarchy’s role would be an advantage.
