Job Title: Communications Officer
Working For: Neil Coyle MP (Bermondsey & Old Southwark)

Salary: In line with IPSA pay scales

Job Details
Key responsibilities will include:
• Producing high quality video and graphics content, including subtitling
• Managing social media and website, including analysis and advertising
• Draft responses to constituents
• Undertake research on relevant subjects
• Provide briefings for the MP
• Diary management
• Ensuring records are kept and information managed confidentially in line with data protection legislation
• Follow-up on social media requests
• Attend meetings as appropriate
• There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of the normal working hours and travel for work occasionally
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrable experience at producing social media content such as videos and graphics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, digital creative packages and video editing software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience of researching briefings and managing a diary
- A motivated and enthusiastic approach to a busy brief
- Awareness and understanding of national and local issues
- The ability to take initiative and self motivate to work to deadlines as part of a small team
- The ability to work in a highly pressurised environment
