Job Details

Tom Tugendhat MP is looking for a creative digital professional to lead his communications output. You will be responsible for shooting, editing and producing compelling content for use across social media platforms, printed literature and more.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the digital narrative for a high-profile MP. The successful applicant will be a self-starter with a sharp political instinct and an ability to turn complex policy ideas into engaging, accessible content. You should have a deep understanding of digital storytelling and be fluent in platform-specific formats and trends.

We’re looking for creative digital minds who think differently, act quickly, and understand what resonates online. Practical experience outside of Westminster is a bonus.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting Tom’s work in Parliament, his constituency, and on the national stage. There will also be further opportunities with Tom’s team to work on research, campaigns and casework.

Role Responsibilities
1. Chiefly responsible for the shooting, editing, and strategic distribution of all photographs and video content.
2. Lead the production of digital content, including speeches, interviews and vlogs tailored to diverse audiences.
3. Drive creative strategy for digital campaigns and support with ad-hoc projects.
4. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
5. Maintain high professional standards across all content and platforms.

Skills required
Essential
1.  A strong communicator who can show media skills and understands how to shape arguments and explain them clearly
2. Strong proficiency in video editing software and post-production tools.
3. Fluency across major social media platforms, with an eye for what performs well online.
4. Excellent knowledge of current affairs and a sharp political awareness.
5. Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party and willingness to play your part in a team that serves the people of Tonbridge, Edenbridge and the villages.

Desirable
1. Professional experience in a fast-paced political or media environment.
2. Strong creative instincts and storytelling ability.
3. Experience in videography for mobile-first platforms
4. Insight from experience outside of Westminster.
