Our wonderful charity client, Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK) is the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by Scleroderma and/or Raynaud’s. We exist to improve awareness and understanding of these conditions, to support those affected, and ultimately to find a cure.

The role:

The Communications and Campaigns team is a newly established department within SRUK. This position of Senior Press and PR Officer will collaborate closely with the Digital Communications Manager—another new, permanent role—and support the Head of Communications and Campaigns in implementing SRUK’s strategic communications and campaigns. As the first permanent Press Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact, shaping the future of the press office function and defining how SRUK communicates with its audiences.

• You will have proven experience in public relations, media relations, or communications, with a successful track record of securing media coverage and building relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• In this new role, we are also looking for the ability to develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy that supports organisational goals and increases visibility, working alongside Head of Communications and Campaigns.
• We are looking for individuals with a desire to create positive change and to make a real difference to the quality of services and support for people with Raynaud’s and Scleroderma.
