Alison Griffiths MP is looking to recruit two Caseworkers to support her work on behalf of the constituents of Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.
About the Role:
Caseworkers play a vital role in an MP’s office, helping ensure that constituents' concerns are heard, understood, and acted upon. These roles are based in the constituency office in Littlehampton. Applications are welcome for both full-time and part-time positions (minimum 20 hours per week) – please specify your preference clearly in your cover letter.
We particularly encourage applications from:
- People who are passionate about their local community and helping others, even if they don’t have direct casework experience
- Individuals looking to return to work or balance work with caring responsibilities or other commitments
We are looking for people who understand the local area well and can regularly attend the Littlehampton office. Applicants based a long distance from the constituency or without a good knowledge of the local community and its issues, are unlikely to be suited to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering enquiries from constituents and progressing casework
- Managing a large caseload and keeping constituents updated
- Logging and monitoring cases, ensuring compliance with data regulations
- Liaising with government agencies, local services, and voluntary organisations
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and policy
- Providing general administrative support
- Supporting MP surgeries and collaborating with the wider team
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in casework, customer service, community support, or other public-facing roles (formal casework experience is helpful but not essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A sympathetic approach to the values of the Conservative Party
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently
- Familiarity with casework management systems (desirable but not essential)
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary within IPSA pay-scales: £23,810–£37,846 (dependent on experience)
- 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
- Generous employer pension contributions
- Access to training and professional development
- Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support
Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
Closing Date: 16 June 2025
Interview/Start Dates
Applications will close at 5pm on 16th June.
Interviews to take place after closing date.
Start date: following security clearance
