Located in the heart of Westminster, the Parliamentary Knowledge Schemes (PKS) is a
dynamic not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to enhancing MPs’ understanding
through immersive experiences with UK charities, institutions and businesses. We’re
seeking a bright, enthusiastic individual to join this pioneering project and gain
invaluable, hands-on experience.
Overview:
As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in executive assistant duties, social
media management, content creation and supporting team operations and event
planning. This is a unique chance to work on a unique and first of its kind project within
the heart of Westminster, with the opportunity for possible travel in the UK and abroad.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the core PKS team
- Manage and grow PKS’s LinkedIn presence, crafting engaging content to boost
our profile.
- Assist with event planning and coordination for receptions, PKS trips and the
PKS annual graduation of MPs
- Support the team with administrative and logistical tasks throughout the delivery
of our modules.

Role information:
- Internship will be for an initial 6 months with possible extension or permanent
role for the right candidate and funding dependent
- Although remote working will be possible on certain days, we would require the
candidate to be available to come in at least once a week
- Role based primarily in the Houses of Parliament, London with possible
occasional travel opportunities
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic, organised and proactive
- Social media skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Interest in politics, education or public policy.
