Job Details

Sorcha Eastwood MP is seeking a highly organised, compassionate, and process-driven Admin Manager to lead on office operations, casework coordination, and diary management in her Lisburn constituency office.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as expert user for digital systems including Caseworker.MP and platforms for payroll, staffing, finance
  • Lead on office systems and processes – incl casework, finance, and HR tools.
  • Manage the MP’s diary and inbox, prioritising and delegating as needed.
  • Provide line management for caseworkers and ensure high-quality constituent service.
  • Oversee casework operations to ensure cases are handled sensitively, efficiently.
  • Liaise with government departments, agencies, and support services on behalf of MP and constituents.
  • Support casework directly where needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and data protection.
  • Contribute to surgeries, community events, and occasional out-of-hours commitments.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive team culture – supporting staff development and promoting continuous learning.

Essential

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with a methodical, process-driven approach.
  • Experience in office or casework management, ideally in a public service setting.
  • A people-centred manager who leads with emotional maturity and openness.
  • Confident using CRM/casework platforms and finance/staffing systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Discretion, empathy, and a strong commitment to public service and inclusion.

Desirable

  • Understanding of the political and public service landscape in NI.
  • Familiarity with local issues in Lagan Valley.
  • Experience using Caseworker.MP, Trello, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and safe data handling.
  • Chartered management, CIPD, or project management qualification.
  • Finance, HR, or payroll experience.
  • Strong alignment with Alliance Party values.
