The role would suit a highly organised and ambitious individual with experience or an interest in the healthcare/life sciences policy sector who aspires to make a difference to the lives of patients.
You will need to be highly self-motivated, happy to work from home in a fast-paced working environment, and educated to degree level with exceptional writing and verbal skills. There will be opportunities to rapidly develop your skillset and experience with our rigorous personal development and training programme, and travel to London to attend team meetings, external client meetings, and meetings in Parliament.
Key responsibilities:
The Account Executive (or Client Executive as we prefer to say) will be expected to:
• Support the client service team (client managers and directors) to deliver the highest standard public affairs and policy advice/campaigns.
• Drive key client projects, support project management, undertake research and develop client documents and materials.
• Be able to liaise effectively with clients and external stakeholders, including politicians, patient groups, clinicians, to providing support and advice across the agency’s functions.
• Be able to draft responses to parliamentary, government and other consultations/developments.
Essential skills and experience:
• Educated to degree level, ideally in a related subject area such as the humanities, policy or biomedical sciences.
• A clear understanding of current affairs, healthcare policy and the life sciences industry, and able to demonstrate political sensitivity/acumen regarding the public affairs environment.
• Some degree of work experience in a government relations/public affairs role, such as with a pharmaceutical company, think tank, NGO, government, parliamentary, professional or trade body.
