Job Details
We are looking for dynamic individual with a politics, policy, public affairs or government background, to help develop and oversee our political monitoring service at Grasshopper.
We want someone with strong political acumen, great project management skills, and a track record of delivering in a fast-paced environment.
The role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our growing corporate affairs team and play a central role in developing and managing our political and media monitoring service.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing communications team in Cardiff, and work with clients that are helping shape the future of Wales and the UK. You will play a pivotal role in enabling us to continue to grow our already well established political and media monitoring service, ensuring we can provide clients with high quality and timely political and government intelligence and advice.
Key qualities and skills we are looking for:
• Experience of working in a government, political or public affairs environment with proven understanding of Welsh public affairs landscape
• Proven track record of project management and ability to coordinate multiple deliverables and manage quality outputs
• Ability to collate and summaries large amounts of information, and ensure it is presented in a useful and accessible form for the end user
• Experience of managing team members beneficial
• Strong writing and communication skills
• A team player with the ability to develop strong working relationships with a range of team members, clients and stakeholders
• Capable of managing a challenging and varying workload that can change at short notice
• A fluency in Welsh speaking, reading and writing could be beneficial but not essential
