Job Details

Warinder Juss MP is looking for someone with a strong track record of building mutually beneficial professional relationships with community groups and organisations.

The ideal candidate will be savvy, emotionally intelligent, and able to identify key priorities and risks. They will provide briefings on community issues and causes to the Member with recommendations of what interventions, if any, they should consider.

As a member of the Caseworker team, they will reach beyond what arrives in the inbox, working collaboratively with the rest of the constituency and Westminster team to identify and deliver opportunities for the member to tangibly add value to community life.

Key Resposibilities:

Map constituency community online and IRL groups, activities, and key contacts. Build mutually beneficial relationships with community groups that align with the Member’s priorities.

Provide actionable intelligence on emerging and long-standing issues and causes to enable the member to make tangible improvements to community life through their interventions.

Work with the Constituency Communications Manager to develop positive multi-channel content on community issues and causes.

Support Caseworker colleagues through active management of constituent enquiries received through engagement with community groups, social media, telephone, and email. 

This is a new role that the successful candidate can help shape and develop.

Key skills required for the role:

  • Relationship building
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Able to operate independently as well as collaborating with others delivering joint objectives.
  • Ability to identify and communicate trends and big issues within casework.
  • Access to a car is desirable although not essential.
