Job Details
We are looking for a proactive individual to join our Westminster Team to support Mark in his Parliamentary duties.
Experience in Parliament or politics is desirable, or the candidate should have experience which allows them to evidence that they can meet all of the key skills required.
Key skills:

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Superb written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to deal with constituents and other stakeholders in a compassionate, understanding, and sensitive manner.
• Align with the aims and values of the Conservative Party.
Responsibilities to include:
• Producing policy related replies to constituents
• Managing and responding to policy casework
• Undertaking research on relevant subjects as required
• Have a working knowledge of legislation, policies and government announcements, and how they may impact Wyre Forest.
• Undertake research on relevant subjects as directed.
• Coordinate work with All Party Parliamentary Groups
• Work with constituency caseworkers, undertaking other cases as required
• Monitor local, regional and national media coverage and brief the MP on relevant issues.
• Providing general administrative support as required
• Support the MP's online presence by managing social media and through website updates, newsletters and articles.
• Arranging and supporting meetings and events in parliament.
• Maintaining positive on-going relationships with constituents, community groups, parliamentary stakeholders and others.
• Efficient data and file management to ensure the office complies with data protection legislation.
Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
