Survation is a leading market research and political polling company delivering high-quality insights to businesses, charities, media organisations, and government bodies. Our work informs policy, strategy, and public understanding across sectors.

We are hiring a Client Development Executive (CDE) to join a new team supporting Survation’s public and third sector research growth. Working closely with our newly appointed Client Development Director (CDD), the CDE will play a key role in managing bid submissions, proposal writing, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the CDD in identifying and monitoring tender portals for relevant opportunities.

Maintain and improve bid assets: proposal templates, case studies, social value content, staff CVs, etc.

Help identify and manage a network of external experts for collaborative projects.

Draft and check proposal content, including the use of content tools where appropriate.

Maintain a log of bid outcomes and follow up on feedback where not received.

Support full bid lifecycle: opportunity tracking, compliance checks, and timely submission.

Assist in writing clear, tailored proposals that reflect Survation’s expertise and methodology.

Work across teams to gather input and insights for strong, compelling submissions.

Take notes and circulate actions from monthly Survation Opportunities Meetings.

What We're Looking For:

Some experience in bid management and proposal writing—ideally in market or social research or a related sector.

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with audience-appropriate tone.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, especially around deadlines.

A proactive team player, comfortable working across departments and improving processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel); familiarity with CRM, bid automation, or project tools a bonus.

Strong general administrative skills.

Desirable:

Knowledge of public or third sector environments and interest in public policy.

Experience generating and reviewing written content.

Understanding of market/social research methods and sampling/statistical principles.

Sales or marketing experience.

Terms:

Full-time, 5 days/week – 2-3 days in-office (Survation HQ), 2-3 days flexible/remote.
