Job Title: Campaigns Organiser (Merton and Wimbledon)

Working For: Liberal Democrats

Location: London

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Length of Contract: Fixed term until 30th June 2026, potential to become permanent after May 2026.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the campaign plan to win the 2026 local elections in Merton. Own the delivery and execution of key parts of that plan.

• You will help craft powerful material to inspire voters, donors and supporters. However, you don’t need extensive graphic design experience – as you will work from templates and we can train you up to design leaflets.

• You will co-ordinate the printing and distribution of campaign leaflets.

• You will help plan and manage a rigorous schedule of campaign activity to get the message out to voters across Merton and Wimbledon.

• You will help organise training to arm our volunteers with the skills, tips and tricks they need to make an impact when meeting voters on the doorsteps.

• You will work with the rest of the campaign team to recruit talented and committed new activists.

• You will understand how a data driven campaign works and is organised.

• You will support the team with fundraising activities and management of donors.

Key things we’re after from you:

You know how to get things done:

• Deadlines matter, making sure team members know what tasks they need to do.

• You have experience of managing a project with lots of strands and maintaining budgets.

• You are good at setting priorities and sticking to them.

• You have good organisational and stakeholder management skills.

You can fire up passionate volunteers:

• You have the enthusiasm and empathy to motivate our team of activists.

• You might have experience recruiting, managing, or training volunteers.

You’re a wordsmith with an eye for design:

• You can write copy that wins hearts and minds.

• With sharp attention to detail, you know the difference between a good leaflet and a bad one.

• A bonus would be experience using desktop publishing tools.

You can multitask with ease:

• You are organised enough to manage lots of simultaneous demands from volunteers, the rest of the campaign team and the candidate without losing your calm and patience.

• Previous experience organising events would be a bonus.

You care enough to get stuck right in:

• You are invested in our mission to drive positive change locally and nationally.

• You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
