Thorndon Partners is a strategic communications firm working with high-profile clients on some of the most complex issues driving the public agenda. We are looking for talented individuals at the start of their career to join our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Monitoring political, media and online debates to inform our strategies and identify opportunities for our clients to have impact. This includes using and maintaining analytics and monitoring tools.
● Conducting research to guide the development of audits, stakeholder mapping, media mapping, strategies and messaging documents.
● Developing public-facing materials such as press releases, media packs and digital content.
● Supporting stakeholder and media outreach, including in the context of the organization of events such as round tables, media briefings or press conferences.
● Supporting account management and client liaison, including preparing weekly calls, reports and updates to clients.

YOUR PROFILE

Essential
● Degree in communications, journalism, international relations, politics or a related area, and a clear interest in strategic communications.
● Critical thinking and the ability to analyse and summarise complex information.
● Curiosity in getting to grips with complex issues, debates and topics.
● Passionate about international affairs.
● Strong written and oral communications skills.
● Ability to manage workload and deadlines.
● Based in the UK, with the ability to work from the office in London.

Preferable
● Professional proficiency in another language such as French, Spanish or Arabic.
● Previous experience in communications, PR or in the media, including during your studies.

As a start-up agency, we recognize however the importance of in-office collaboration to foster growth and success on this journey and expect reasonable and regular presence in the office in London.

POSITION DETAILS

● 3 month internship with a view to a potential permanent position once completed.
● 3 days a week in our Central London office. 
● Computer and essential IT equipment provided.
