Job Details

Merton & Wimbledon Liberal Democrats are looking for a dynamic and experienced Campaign Organiser to be a key part of the team, building upon the election of Paul Kohler as Member of Parliament for the Wimbledon constituency last year. Currently our team consists of volunteers, elected Councillors and Paul as our MP. At the last local elections in May 2022, we made extensive gains from the Conservatives and Labour and we now have 17 councillors on Merton Borough Council. These successes have firmly established the Liberal Democrats as the leading party in Wimbledon and main challengers to the incumbent Labour administration on Merton Council.

We are now building our core team to win the 2026 local elections and take control of Merton Council for the first time. Merton Council is the best chance the Liberal Democrats have had in almost 2 decades of taking control of a London council for the first time. The Campaign Organiser will be a key member of the team that delivers our future success.

The role offers flexible working hours, although it will require evening and weekend work, particularly during the local election campaign period.

If you are motivated, committed, organised person interested in managing the activities of an ambitious local political party, then please apply to join us.
