Job Details

Bayo Alaba, MP for Southend East and Rochford, is looking for an organised and empathetic person to join his constituency team as a Caseworker.

Key Responsibilities:
• Log all cases; monitor progress and ensure all identified actions are taken effectively.
• Engage professionally, confidentially and with integrity with members of the public, through telephone enquiries, emails and face to face conversations.
• Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases.
• Liaise with Government agencies, local authorities and the voluntary sector to resolve cases.
• Ensure that each case is dealt with promptly, sensitively, confidentially and accurately.
• Draft responses to constituents.
• Retain records and information confidentially and in line with the Data Protection Act
• Assist at surgeries and other meetings and follow up as appropriate
