Working closely with our Development Director and project leads, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering our fundraising strategy. You’ll craft compelling proposals, manage grants and funder relationships, and help demonstrate how our journalism delivers real-world impact.
About Us
We are the UK’s largest independent non-profit investigative newsroom. Our work holds power to account across five key areas: environment, health, big tech, dirty money, and local power. Published through media partners worldwide, our reporting has driven regulatory investigations, legal reforms, and community change.
This role will initially support two teams:
Bureau Local – uncovering hidden UK stories, from migrant worker exploitation to transparency in the family courts and amplifying Trans+ voices.
Enablers – investigating the lawyers, accountants and systems that enable dirty money to flow through the UK, prompting major investigations and reforms.
You may also contribute to emerging projects exploring the rise of misinformation and its impact on UK communities.
Our Fundraising
We are almost entirely supported through grants and donations, with an annual income of £2.8m and a growing team of 35. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative fundraising team as we strengthen existing partnerships and explore new income streams.
