Job Details

Roz Savage MP is recruiting a Caseworker to help constituents across the South Cotswolds resolve problems with public services and local organisations. If you’re practical, compassionate, and great at getting things done, we’d love to hear from you.


What you’ll do


Handle a high volume of enquiries by phone, email, letter and in person; log and progress cases promptly and sensitively.
Liaise with councils, government agencies, housing providers, charities and regulators to unlock solutions for constituents.
Keep accurate records, draft correspondence, and keep residents updated throughout.
Spot trends from casework to inform Roz’s campaigns and parliamentary questions.
Help run MP surgeries and occasional community meetings (some out-of-hours).
Pitch in with general office admin and support colleagues as needed.


What you’ll bring

Excellent written and verbal communication; calm, clear and friendly with the public.
Strong organisation and attention to detail; able to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
Empathy, discretion and resilience when dealing with sensitive issues.
Confident using Microsoft 365 and keen to learn casework systems.
Team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
Good knowledge of the South Cotswolds and an interest in politics/public policy.
Alignment with Liberal Democrat values (you don’t need to be a member).
Desirable: experience in advice, advocacy, housing/benefits, or a public/third-sector setting; policy research to support case resolution; full UK driving licence and access to a car (useful in a rural patch).
Time off in lieu to balance hours worked outside of normal office time (evenings and weekends).
