The Association of Mental Health Providers is the leading representative body for voluntary and community sector mental health and wellbeing providers across England and Wales, representing over 300 members who support more than 8 million people affected by poor mental health.

We are seeking a Senior Policy and Communications Officer to help raise the profile of our organisation and strengthen our policy influence. You’ll combine strategic communications, campaigns, and policy insight to drive positive change for the voluntary and community mental health sector.

You’ll have experience in policy and communications, and be confident translating complex information into accessible messages. You’ll be proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a small, dynamic team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering policy and communications strategies.
  • Drafting policy briefings, consultation responses, and media materials.
  • Coordinating campaigns to influence decision-makers.
  • Managing digital and media activity to amplify our impact.
  • Engaging with members, partners, and policymakers.
