Job Details
The APPG on Explosive Weapons and Their Impact is seeking informal tenders for the provision of the Secretariat function for the Group.
The APPG is inviting tenders from qualified organisations or individuals to deliver Secretariat services ensuring the effective running of the Group & the achievement of its aims.
Responsibilities
- Arrange & manage all briefings & events (min 4 meetings pa, ad-hoc events as required).
- Arrange speakers from gov departments (MOD, FCDO, Metropolitan Police), industry, academia, NGOs, and international partners.
- General coordination, manage bookings, catering, seating plans, speaker biographies & event materials.
- Issue invitations & manage RSVPs;ensure Secretariat attendance at all events to support the Officers.
- Organise & run AGMs/EGMs, prep & record minutes, manage APPG’s Register
- Track invoicing, memberships & audit bank statements annually. Undertake due diligence checks on donors & sponsors.Handle invoicing & record-keeping in accordance with parliamentary APPG rules.
- Develop & expand the Group’s network of external paid members, including industry, NGOs, academic institutions &international partners. Manage subscriptions & renewals.
- Manage relationships with sponsors & partner organisations
- Maintain and update the APPG’s independent website and social media presence in accordance with any brand or communications guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with the House of Commons Rules on APPGs, including registration of benefits, data protection, safeguarding & relevant policy areas (e.g. health and safety, purdah).
- Provide administrative & advisory assistance to Officers of the Group in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Rules on APPGs.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration to enhance the APPG’s profile
Tender Award Criteria
Organisations & individuals are invited to submit proposals for the delivery of services outlined above. The tender will be evaluated as follows: 60% Quality / 40% Cost
Quality marks will be awarded against the detailed submission(s) as follows:
30% - Experience / 30% - Innovation, Ideas, and Opportunities for the APPG
Cost marks will be awarded with the lowest tender securing the full 40%, and other tenders scored proportionally.
Position: 8-24 hours pw. (flexible)

Interview/Start Dates

We anticipate holding first round interviews before Parliament breaks for recess.
We'd like the successful applicant in post well when Parliament returns in Jan 2026.
