Job Title: Campaign Manager
Working For: Mike Martin MP (Tunbridge Wells)
Location: Own office at Tunbridge Wells HQ (Town Hall TN1 1XR)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + pension contribution, depending on experience (open to negotiation for an exceptional and more experienced candidate)
Length of Contract: Permanent subject to probationary review after 3 months.
Job Details
Project manage the campaign
Ensure Mike and the Tunbridge Wells Lib Dem team win seats by delivering an agreed campaign plan on time and in budget, working closely with local campaign volunteers.
Recruit and inspire activists
Continuously recruit and engage new volunteers, working with senior campaign volunteers. Run training to equip volunteers with skills for doorstep canvassing and leaflet delivery.
Produce persuasive campaign literature
Create well-designed leaflets and letters with persuasive copy and powerful images to inspire voters, working within agreed strategic messaging. Coordinate production and distribution from printers and campaign HQ.
Organise ground campaign activity
Plan and manage a highly-organised schedule of doorstep canvassing, leaflet delivery and volunteer sessions across the constituency, working alongside seasoned local volunteers.
Contribute data-driven insights
Use voter contact data, canvassing feedback and political instincts to contribute insights and analysis for winning decisions. More experienced candidates will drive key strategic decisions.

Professional, enthusiastic and empathetic when working with diverse volunteer teams. You build relationships, motivate others and work with ward leaders to grow capacity. Ideally experienced in recruiting, managing and training volunteers.
You have an eye for detail and design
Experienced in designing and writing high-quality, engaging campaign materials that win votes. Sharp attention to detail with experience using publishing tools to produce proof-ready products.
You can manage competing priorities
Organised enough to multitask at pace across simultaneous demands independently. You keep cool under pressure, stay focused on goals and encourage others to do the same.

Technical experience
Good knowledge of Lib Dem campaign software Connect and Affinity Publisher.
Minimum 4 years' experience (or similar seniority) with line management experience.
