Elmbridge Liberal Democrats seek an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to recruit and manage volunteers and build campaigning capacity. Help promote Monica Harding MP and our Lib Dem councillors while making significant gains in the 2026 Unitary Authority elections.

Job Description:

Deliver the agreed constituency campaign plan between LDHQ Campaigns Manager, the MP and Elmbridge Liberal Democrats.
Build campaigning and organisational capacity – recruiting members, donors, deliverers and poster sites.
Build and manage a team of constituency volunteers overseeing capacity building and campaigning.
Design and deliver ongoing doorstep communication with voters.
Assist with design, production, print and coordination of campaign literature delivery.
Maintain databases including deliverers, donors, poster sites.
Organise action days, social events and activities.
Maintain and update social media, website and digital infrastructure.
Support fundraising campaigns and events as required.
Attend conferences, training and meetings as required.
Liaise with volunteer organisers in wards using our ward-based model.

Person Specification:
Essential:

Exceptional personal organisation.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead, mobilise and manage volunteers.
Excellent written communication with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision, self-motivating and able to manage own workload.
Familiarity with current UK politics and sympathy with Liberal Democrat values and principles.

Highly desirable:

Experience delivering effective Liberal Democrat campaigns.
Experience with Liberal Democrat software and databases (Affinity Publisher, Fleet & Connect).
Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
