Job Details
Westminster Labour Group are looking for a hard working and motivated campaigner to join our fight to keep Westminster Council Labour at the May 2026 local elections.
The role’s purpose is to increase the capacity of Westminster’s campaign team by helping to communicate with and mobilise members, coordinate campaign sessions and assist with the development of materials as required. Working under the guidance of the Borough Organiser, London Region and senior councillors, they will use the party’s campaign technology and help to train and support local members, as well as engage with youth and student activists.
We are looking for someone with a commitment to the Labour Party’s mission and values who will work hard to help us win. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
• Experience of political campaigning and a knowledge and understanding of campaign techniques.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to plan.
• Highly collaborative behaviour, able to build strong working relationships internally and externally in a complex stakeholder environment.
• The ability to work consistently to high professional standards, including accuracy, honesty, quality, and evidence.
• Commitment to a positive learning culture of feedback and continuous improvement.
• A general understanding of the Labour Party, its policies, principles and organisation.
• A flexible approach to the resolution of issues.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to provide leadership where necessary.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good computer literacy, including use of email communication systems and data input.
• Creative and open to new ways of working including digital transformation, participatory methods and co-creation of solutions with those most affected.
